Setting Up Your Sacred Space
Body Position: Decide on a place where you can relax in a reclined or laying down position with your eyes closed with minimal distractions. This may be a recliner chair, bed or couch. You may also want to use cushions or pillows. Use or keep a blanket nearby since body temperatures can drop during relaxation.
Environment: To avoid any disturbances, visitors, deliveries, or distractions, place a “Do Not Disturb” sign on your bedroom, office or front door. Turn off or silence your phone so that it does not ring, vibrate or beep. Know that if there are any interruptions or noises, that this does not ruin the session as long as you do not engage with the distraction and stay relaxed and keep your thoughts focused on the session.
*Animals tend to be drawn to this space, if you feel like a cat or dog would disturb you, please make sure they are not in the room or space you are relaxing in. It is very common for animals to come and lay on top of clients during the session.
Sound: Headphones with a microphone on them, like Apple, work best for me to hear you, but are not required. If you are using other headphones, please make sure they are fully charged.
Setting the Sacred Space: Add any other additional elements that will make you feel more safe, relaxed, peaceful and happy. Some examples are:
Safely light and burn a candle.
Safely use incense or smudging herbs.
Diffuse essential oils or use them topically.
Darken the space with blinds or an eye mask.
Amplify your intention with any crystals or gemstones that you feel called to.
A special notebook or piece of paper to journal and keep track of any insights and wisdom that you receive.
